What is Deionization?

Deionization is the process of removing positively and negatively charged ions (cations and anions) from water using ion exchange resins. This results in purer water with extremely low electrical conductivity.

How Does a Deionization System Work?

1️⃣ Pre-treatment: Sediment, chlorine and organic matter are separated from the water.

2️⃣ Ion Exchange Columns: The cation resin removes positively charged ions from the water, and the anion resin removes negatively charged ions from the water.

3️⃣ Regeneration: Saturated resins are renewed with chemical solutions.

4️⃣ Storage and Distribution: Purified water is stored and made available for use.

Deionization - Demineralization System Design Criteria It is crucial that deionization - demineralization pure water treatment devices are designed to meet the capacity and desired pure water quality, both during the design and implementation phases.
